Atlantis G and Diana G for efficient working
Simply clever: the perfect sinks when it comes to steaming
The wellness trend is conquering the kitchen, too. Because cooking with rising steam is both the most aromatic and also the most gentle and healthiest way of preparing food, because vitamins and minerals are retained and calories saved. Preparation of food for steaming is now becoming much simpler – thanks to a new clever sink system by Franke.
Launched with great success over a year ago at the KBIS kitchen trade fair in Las Vegas USA, the new compact-footprint Prep Center provides several work zones, both on the sink itself and also along the "active kitchen" profile strip along the wall. For example, the capacious pot stand with its patented supporting shoulders can be fixed at half depth in an extra deep (230 mm) XXL size (550 x 400 mm) sink. The advantage is that pans, pots, baking trays can be rinsed lying on the grate in an ergonomically relaxed posture, and then left there to drain. The new Work Center with the proven Beach working and precision sink is available in various equipment variants, e.g. with integral waste disposal chute or a knife block set into the work surface. This enables customers to customize their own workstation according
to their individual preferences and habits. And if the customer needs even more workspace, the practical "active kitchen" wall strip is available as the perfect solution. All the sink accessories, the strainer, cutting board, bowls, etc. can be placed in here with Franke has therefore recently introduced the Atlantis G and the Diana G models specifically to optimize and simplify the work processes between the sink and the steamer. This is due to the draining bowls of the new sinks, available in deep and shallow versions, being designed to Gastronorm dimensions” so they fit exactly into the sink’s drain, and also into all industrystandard steaming and multi-cook devices, and vice versa. This means that all the ingredients, be they potatoes, vegetables, fish or meat, are chopped straight into the bowls with no need for dishes, rinsed, stored on a wall rail, and then put into the steamer together. And in the same way, the steamer bowls are returned to the wall strip or to the sink drainer to drain. Together with the versatile glass sliding board and the new extremely ergonomic 3-part grater set that can be fixed firmly above the small bowl, working with the new “G” sinks is fluent and highly efficient. This simply leaves more time for the finer things in life.
